Membrane Recycling

Roofing Membranes

There are many types of roofing membrane removed during re-roofing projects, all of which may be recycled with Nationwide Foam!
We recycle all three (3) major types of roofing membrane, including:

EPDM - Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer “Rubber” Membrane

EPDM is known as rubber membrane and is typically black in color. EPDM membrane is adhered together with adhesive to eliminate all seams so moisture can not pass through.

TPO - Thermoplastic Olefin or Polyolefin Membrane

TPO membranes are single-ply roof membranes constructed from ethylene propylene rubber and are typically white or beige in color. They are designed to combine the durability of rubber with the proven performance of hot-air weldable seams.

PVC - Poly Vinyl Chloride Membrane

PVC membrane is known as vinyl membrane and is typically white in color. PVC membrane is welded together with hot air to eliminate all seams so moisture can not pass through.

Customer Satisfaction

To insure customer satisfaction, Nationwide Foam Recycling sends a Field Representative to each job site to confirm that the foam removal and loading is proceeding smoothly.

The Field Representative also performs a basic inspection of the foam coming off the roof. This enables us, based upon the type of foam, to send the material to the appropriate Nationwide Foam Recycling destination facility for reprocessing.

Foam Insulation Board Recycling

Roofing Insulation

There are many types of roofing insulation removed during re-roofing projects, all of which may be recycled with Nationwide Foam!
We recycle all four (4) major types of roofing foam insulation board, including:

EPS - Expanded Polystyrene Beadboard Insulation (White)

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid and tough, closed-cell foam. It is usually white and made of pre-expanded polystyrene beads. Sheets are commonly packaged as rigid panels (size 4 x 8 or 2 x 8 feet), which are also known as "bead-board".

XPS - Extruded Polystyrene Insulation (Blue, Green, Pink)

Extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) consists of closed cells, offers improved surface roughness as higher stiffness and reduced thermal conductivity. It is usually Blue, Green or Pink and made of extruded polystyrene. Sheets are commonly packaged as rigid panels (size 4 x 8 or 2 x 8 feet), which are also known as "blue-board, green-board, or pink-board".

ISO - Poly Isocyanurate Foam Insulation (Yellow)

Poly Isocyanurate foam (ISO) consists of closed cell polyurethane foam. It is usually Yellow with either a paper or foil backing. Sheets are commonly packaged as rigid panels (size 4 x 8 or 4 x 4 feet), which are also known as "yellow-board".

COMP - Composite Foam Insulation (Insulation with concrete or fiberboard)

Composite Foam Insulation Board (COMP) consists of one of the above listed foams laminated to or between a layer(s) of fiber board or concrete. Typical examples include XPS Blue-Board with Concrete or ISO Yellow-Board with Fiberboard. Sheets are commonly packaged as rigid panels (size 4 x 8 or 4 x 4 feet).
